Downtown East Tour - Downtown West Tour - Washington Avenue Tour, Grand Center Tour

Explore the fascinating history, culture and architectural legacy of Downtown and Midtown St. Louis with a pleasant two-hour stroll led by experienced volunteer guides from Landmarks Association of St. Louis.
From the founding of the city through its modern redevelopment, our tours cover many well known landmarks, hidden gems, and insights into the events that shaped the city. No reservations are required -simply select the tour of your choice and come to the starting point any Saturday that your tour is scheduled to take place by 10:00 a.m. Expect to walk approximately two miles at a moderate pace. $10 per adult and free for children 12 and under. Cash only please.

Downtown East Tour – Heart of Downtown - Every Saturday
Explore the architectural legacy of the heart of the city. From the bustling riverfront of the French-American entrepreneurs to the skyscrapers of the 20th century, you’ll
find famous architectural and engineering marvels.

Highlights: Old Courthouse, Old Cathedral, Gateway Arch, Eads Bridge, Old Post Office, Wainwright Building, Philip Johnson-designed office building.

East Tour begins outside the 4th Street entrance of The Old Courthouse, 11 South 4th Street, St. Louis, MO 63102 (opposite Luther Ely Smith Square.) Many parking garages
are nearby, and there is a MetroLink stop nearby at either 8th and Pine, or the Stadium stop. For transit information visit
Downtown West Tour – Downtown Beyond the Arch - Every Saturday

St. Louis’ grandest public buildings are testament to the ambitions of the City during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Explore their history, architectural significance and
how they changed the area from residential to monumental.

Highlights: Union Station, Peabody Opera House, City Hall, Soldiers Memorial, Central Library, Campbell House Museum.
West Tour begins outside the main entrance to the St. Louis Union Station Hotel, 1820 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63103. A parking lot is available behind the hotel, or use

Washington Ave Tour - 3rd to 18th Streets - First and Third Saturdays of the month
From legendary garment district to edgy fashion, technology, loft and entertainment hub, St. Louis’ most intact historic streetscape tells an amazing story of survival, ingenuity and
adaptive reuse. And it’s the trendiest street in town!

Highlights: 555 Washington Avenue, National Blues Museum, International Shoe Company, City Museum, birthplace of Saint Louis University and Washington University campuses.

Washington Ave Tour begins outside the entrance to TIGIN Irish Pub in the Hampton Inn at the Arch, 333 Washington Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63102. A parking lot is available just to
the east of the hotel in Laclede’s Landing, and there are nearby MetroLink stops at Convention Center and Laclede’s Landing/the Arch. For transit information visit
Grand Center Arts District Tour - Second and Fourth Saturdays of the month
Grand Center Inc. invites you to immerse yourself in St. Louis' epicenter for the arts.  From the Fabulous Fox Theatre to the Pulitzer Arts Foundation's Tadao Ando designed jewel , this tour  is sure to dazzle!

:  Fox Theatre, Continental Building, CAMSL, Public Media Commons, Pulitzer Foundation, Sheldon Memorial and Powell Hall.

Grand Center Tour begins at the stage in Strauss Park, 3534 Washington Avenue at Grand, St. Louis, MO 63103. You can park at any of the nearby parking lots in the district or at the new Washington Avenue parking structure behind the University Club Building and across Washington Avenue from the Fox.

St. Louis. We are looking for the following:

·         Tour guides - no experience necessary

·         Graphic designers - for print and electronic material

·         Marketing people - help grow our program

·         Tech savvy individuals - for website updates and social media
